I am drawn to places that evoke a slower, quieter, and more enduring way of life, specifically capturing those that bear the imprint of human experience - free of visible figures. By removing people, it allows us to imagine the human stories of the past and make our own personal connection to the stories of the present. I build layers of paper, pastes and natural elements -beneath and above the painted subject, creating a unique tactile presence that carries more than an image.
